Same sender email rejected and passed! RSS Back to forum

I've got same sender emails to different addresses in my mail server. One of it blocked by SPAMHAUS-ZEN DNS Blacklist. Another one passes all checks. How can that be???

One more issue with rejecting emails with "Error checking the SPF policy of domain "xxx.xxx": The requested A/MX record was not found for "xxx.xxx"."? System says only "warning"

@mr.jeez: Hello,

Emails from the same sender getting blacklisted one moment and allowed through the next can be perfectly normal, but it always happens for a reason. Unfortunately, the list of possible reasons is very long and the only reliable information on this is in the ORF logs. If you suspect something is wrong with your ORF, please send us the related ORF Text Log file (these have .log extension) to , along with the some sort of information to help us identify the emails in question.

As for the second issue, this messages indicates that the SPF policy of the email sender domain has failed to evaluate, because it contained references to DNS records that do not exist. This is essentially a mistake made by the policy publisher. Such mistakes are fairly common and can be considered business as usual. In any case, these failed evaluations will only cause the SPF Test to be skipped, otherwise the rest of the tests run as if nothing has happened. In other words, such errors will not cause the email to be either rejected or accepted, it's more like as if you ran ORF with the SPF Test disabled on this specific email.
